Team Captain Job Description

Employer: You are employed by Smoothie Sailing LLC. We are an independent franchisee of Smoothie King Franchises, Inc.

Compensation: $12 - $14 per hour (Base Wage + Average Tips) + (Full-Time, Overtime Eligible)

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on leader to take charge of our Smoothie King location at Fort Bliss. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on leading a team, enhancing operations, and taking full ownership of store performance.

This is a full-time leadership role with an hourly pay structure and eligibility for overtime. Alongside base pay, you'll have access to a performance-based bonus program tied to the store's profitability, labor control, food cost management, and overall operational success.

**Compensation & Bonus Structure**

- Hourly pay ranges from $12.00 to $14.00 (Base Wage + Average Tips) (eligible for overtime)

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assisting in hiring, training, and developing a reliable team

- Managing shift schedules that balance guest service with labor cost management

- Overseeing daily shift operations to ensure brand standards are upheld

- Tracking sales, labor percentage, and food cost performance

- Maintaining accurate inventory while minimizing waste

- Leading by example to foster a positive and accountable team culture

**Schedule Expectations**

This role requires flexibility with a rotating schedule based on business needs. As a Team Captain, you will be expected to cover a mix of opening, mid, and closing shifts to support your team.

- Average of about 40 hours per week

- Rotating schedule including mornings, afternoons, and evenings

- Availability to assist during peak times and on occasional weekends

- Ability to adjust your schedule as business demands change

**What We’re Looking For:**

- Preferred: 1+ years of leadership experience in a restaurant or retail environment

- Comfort with reviewing performance metrics (sales, labor, food cost)

- Strong communication and team leadership skills

- A proactive individual who takes ownership and follows through on responsibilities

Compensation: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
